An Invitation

 

If you've read this far, and you are thinking about joining us one Sunday, please do. We would love to welcome you to worship, and to our fellowship.  We often say this invitation at Communion, and we extend it to you now.  

 

Come to this table (and this church),

not because you must but because you may,

not because you are strong,

but because you are weak.

Come, not because any goodness of your own

gives you a right to come,

but because you seek mercy and help.

Come, because you love God a little

and would like to love God more.

Come, because Jesus loves you

and gives himself for you.

Come and meet the risen Christ,

for we are Christ's body.

 

Always, everyone is invited to come to the table,

because it is Christ's table.

 

Christ is the host, we are Christ's guests.
